An island that needs no introduction, for it has been rated one of the top travel destinations in the world for as long as I can remember, which is why I have simply given an account of my visit by way of a series of images supported by a minimum amount of text …

… This was also meant to be purely a holiday for me, (I last visited Bali 20 years ago, but that is a tale I will tell on another occasion) and since much of the itinerary revolved around gastronomy, a visual reportage seemed to be the most appropriate format for this particular travel anecdote … my only real purpose in sharing it is to provide restaurant recommendations (in addition to a few cultural must-do’s) for those who foresee visiting the island in the near future, since Bali is truly a gourmet paradise across cuisines.
